I am a lazy Bible reader. And so a thought occurred to me on my way to work this morning that there must be some software out there that displays a random Bible verse in my desktop whenever I starts my computer (my works and life completely revolves around a computer). Curious, I called up Mr. Google - the "God" on Earth. Tra la la! Surely enough it was there. :-D
If you haven't come across this yet, this is a very useful utility - Bible Verse Desktop (for Windows) by Vladimir Rybant, a pastor of the "Word of Life" church in Belgorod, Russia. The software is a freeware and just 2.27 mb in size. You can even create your favourite Bible verses (in your language) by creating a text file with one verse each line.
You can also:
- move the verse through the desktop;
- change size, colour or font;
- change language;
- change the desktop wallpaper;
- create your own lists of quotes;
- set a timer.
To access the above options, you need to right click on the displayed verse/quote in the desktop wallpaper.
